The Nick Chaconas Experience

A Journey of Wealth & Well-Being

From "aha" to "oh crap ," I'm sharing everything on my journey as an investor.

My name is Nick Chaconas. Just an ordinary guy who decided I wanted something more.

"My family deserves better. I'm capable of so much more. I'm tired of living a mediocre life as I trade time for money."

That's how it all started. I was sick and tired of the life I was living, with all the wrong dialogue playing on repeat in my head.

In early 2021 I committed to leave the life of "just being a realtor" behind and become a real estate investor .. and to document the journey from brand new real estate investor to having consistent $20,000+ months!

Dirty, Dirty Boy

Last night, Lisa, a good friend who is a recent realtor-turned-investor published her "journey message". It had a simple, yet great life lesson, so I thought I'd share it here as well.

She shared ...

"My fitness guru, for lack of a better term, has this expression, "How you do your dishes is how you do your life." I heard her say this a few times before I slowed down to listen to what it meant. Once I got it, I got it, and now it makes so much sense.

If you leave dishes in the sink overnight, or if you leave that bedtime ice cream bowl on your coffee table, or if your hand washed items are sitting in a drying rack two days later, that's probably how you handle the rest of your life, too.

To be honest, I felt attacked when I first heard this. Who does she think she is? She doesn't KNOW me. My dishes have nothing to do with the rest of my...oh wait. Oh shit. She's totally right.

When this clicked, I got on my dishes game, and magically everything else fell into place. My lead management, my transaction management, my follow up, my sleep schedule, my gym training, my meal prep. All of it. All of a sudden I was on my game, getting things done, felt like I really could do it all, successfully.

Then I started backsliding. Because I thought I had it all together."

If I walked into you kitchen right now, how many dishes, cups, bowls, pots and pans are sitting in or near your sink?

dirtyboy

No judgement here .. shit .. I stopped writing because I knew what was in my kitchen. I walked downstairs and took this photo. There you go .. my coffee pot, a few cups and bowls and a few other things on my counter. >>>>>>>>

Like Lisa said "Oh shit. She's totally right"

I did a quick clean up and wipe down of the counters and here I am again at the keyboard pounding out my thoughts. This unknown fitness guru was for sure putting her own spin on the timeless quote credited to Martha Beck ...

How you do ANYTHING is how you do EVERYTHING.

If you are leaving dirty dishes in the sink, it's likely that you are leaving many other tasks unfinished, at best, or ignored, at worst.

If, as part of your job, you have to follow up with prospects and/or clients .. how is your follow up? With our ACS Machine .. follow up is as simple as logging into the system, clicking a button to make a phone call, leave a message if/when nobody answers and then clicking another button to automatically send an email and SMS message.

Just like my dirty sink and because I promised to share the good, the bad and the ugly ... I have to share that my ACS Machine has 3 "Secured" leads and about a dozen "Never Contacted" leads that have been ignored for 2-3 days.

OUCH!!!

Just like I cleaned up my sink this morning, you know what I'll be doing after I finish writing and hit SEND.

In the realms of Mind, Body, Business and Relationships, do you have any dirty dishes that need to a good cleaning???

🤔
