Let me tell you something … Been there. Done that.

Let me tell you something else .. I know the sound of that voice inside your head that is holding you back .. that voice is your Lesser Self.

One of the ethos’ of my PARTNER investing group, is the developed mindset that we are the authors of our own journeys .. and as the authors we hold the pen and get to write the script for the two main characters that reside within us - the Lesser Self and the Heroic Self.

The Lesser Self is the embodiment of fear and procrastination. He’s that inner voice that whispers doubts, magnifies risks, and urges me to delay action.

The Lesser Self is always laying in wait, ready to pounce at a moment’s notice to sabotage me.

My Lesser Self (Little Nicky) - he’s an asshole .. nobody likes him.

In contrast, my Heroic Self is brimming with resilience, courage and a GitRDone attitude. This is me as a champion.

My Heroic Self steps forward despite fear .. acts despite uncertainty. He knows that growth and success lie in action, not inaction.

My Heroic Self - he’s a beast .. we all love him.

Gahndi taught … “Your beliefs become your thoughts, Your thoughts become your words, Your words become your actions, Your actions become your habits, Your habits become your values, Your values become your destiny.”

I used to struggle with hoards of limiting beliefs repeated on an endless loop by Little Nicky.

For all too long, I was living a small life of broken relationships, mismanaged finances, poor diet and a weak body because of the beliefs Little Nicky had programmed in my mind and soul.

Little Nicky was hell-bent on making me believe that I wasn’t good enough and that I didn’t deserve a fulfilling romantic relationship, financial success, and a strong mind and body.

I can hear you saying Little Nick is an asshole!

I know! I told you so.

I wasted years because I was constantly comparing myself to others.

And then I joined a community within GRIT, started working on my Mind and Body EVERY day.

I flipped the script and began curb-stomping Little Nicky on the regular.

That little asshole was holding me back from my true destiny. Ever since joining GRIT, all that programming is being re-written by my Heroic Self as I work on Mind, Body, Relationships, Business.

I’d be lying if I said I only had to curb-stomp Little Nicky once and that was the end of him.

Like Freddy and Jason and Michael, Little Nicky keeps coming back for more sequels, and like the heroes in those movie franchisees, my Heroic Self is up for the task of killing him one more time.

I stomped him earlier today with my cold plunge and workout routine and I’ll be ready for him again tomorrow morning.
