That's how it all started. I was sick and tired of the life I was living, with all the wrong dialogue playing on repeat in my head.

In early 2021 I committed to leave the life of "just being a realtor" behind and become a real estate investor .. and to document the journey from brand new real estate investor to having consistent $20,000+ months!

Taking the Plunge

 Hey Team - 

During my time away, I've listened to dozens of podcasts, read a bunch of books and streamed a bunch more content on a variety of topics .. mostly focused on better understanding the Mind/Body connection and how to strengthen each , both individually and in tandem.

One repeating theme is the idea of cold plunging.  Dave Asprey and Gary Brecka, two leader in the world of 'biohacking', are big proponents of the practice, with the foundations based on research of how the body reacts when placed in extreme circumstances. 

I jumped on board and purchased an inexpensive tub back in the summer .. assembled it .. and then ignored it, because my Lesser Self - Little Nicky - kept talking me out of taking the literal plunge. 

I had a "Popeye Moment" several weeks ago .. dusted off the plunge tub, filled it with water and enough ice to get the temp to just under 60 degrees. 

In I went and quite easily stayed in for about 4 minutes. 

With the temps dropping over the last 10 days, less and less ice was necessary to get the water temp down.  

55 ... 52 ... 50 .. 46 ... yesterday was 40..... 

And today, when I checked on the tub, a thin layer of ice formed as temps dropped into the 20s over night. 

Little Nicky began pleading for his life .. and I granted him a short stay of execution until the air temp rose above freezing. 

As you can see from the timestamp on the selfie .. I put Little Nicky out of his misery during my 4 minute plunge just before I sat down to write to you today. 

10 days ago I thought that I couldn't possibly sit in a tub of freezing water for 4 minutes and now, I sit here energized looking forward to when I get to do it again tomorrow. 


I get to feel the rush of the cold enveloping my body. 

I get to practice calming my heart rate.  My watch shows that it jumps from about 70 bpm to 115 bpm in the first 30 seconds.    

I get to practice calming and quieting my Mind. 

I get to celebrate overcoming my fears when I step out. 

I get to Level Up my Mind and my Body in just 4 simple minutes. 

I've eyeballed an upgraded plunge setup, complete with a water chiller and filtration system.   

And, I've set a goal to acquire the system by Feb 28, 2024 .. but only AFTER closing $40,000 in new business between now and then.
