Why Consistency Wins
June 2, 2025

For as long as I can remember — I used to be the guy who would go all out for an hour, once a week, and then crash like I earned a trophy.

Sound familiar?

The problem?

One intense burst doesn’t create traction. It creates burnout.

This came to me as I was driving back to Maryland last week for my nephew's graduation party. I was listening to Brandon Turner's The Betterlife Podcast, when his guest provided this gem ..

“Long-term consistency is better than short-term intensity.”

Like a 2x4 upside the head, I quickly realized that I had been working in a manner that was a series of random and haphazardly disorganized sprints of work, rather than a boring series of consistent effort.

With hours left on my drive home, I got to thinking about Little Nicky.

He thrives on the illusion of progress.

He’ll have me believe that one or two Herculean session of calls will fix the pipeline, one hard workout will cancel out a week of bad eating, or that one deep strategy session makes me a business architect.

The truth? The real growth—the kind that sticks—lives in the boring stuff.

Consistency Wins

➡️The check-ins.

➡️The texts.

➡️The emails.

➡️The simple and consistent reps.

It’s in waking up and slaying Little Nicky again and again and again with nothing more than a simple routine and a clear intention.

During that drive, I committed to myself to lean hard into executing the calls/text/emails that I designed in AIGenius.

It's not at all the sexy, flashy, dopamine-hit kind of work.

And sure enough, just as expected .. even after only two days .. the leads are warming back up.

Conversations will assuredly turn into deals.

Not because I go scorched earth for a couple hours once or twice a week, but because I show up daily and stay consistent.

It’s the same energy I bring to my health and fitness. Every workout, every cold plunge, every early wake-up stacks on top of the last one.

None of them are dramatic.

None of them are Instagram-worthy.

But put together, they build something unshakable.

So here’s the play this week: I’m doubling down on routines, habits and consistency.

I’m choosing systems over sprints. Conversations over campaigns.

I’m building a business brick-by-brick.

You want to know what really separates the winners?

It’s not hustle porn or grind culture.

It’s the quiet, disciplined cadence of those who know that the daily effort—done with intention—is where the magic really happens.
